Department Overview

The cultural and creative industry is an emerging industry pursued by all the countries in the world. The Executive Yuan has listed the culture and creative industry are one of the six new industries for Taiwan. Cultural and Creative Industry Development Plan was published as the blueprint for the industry development. This plan encompasses a wide range of sub-sectors, such as visual art, music and performance art, application of cultural heritage, exhibition and performance facilities, craftsmanship, movies, radio and TV, publishing, advertising, product design, visual communication, fashion branding, architectural design, digital contents, creative life, pop music and cultural contents. In sum, the Department of Cultural and Creative Enterprise Management is a multi-disciplinary faculty. Graduates will enjoy unlimited possibilities and realize their potential in the job market or as entrepreneurs.

Department of Cultural and Creative Enterprise Management, Nanhua University, was created to address the new competition in the 21st century. We are the only department in Taiwan that focuses on the operation and management of the cultural and creative industry. Currently, the curriculum covers four major elements: marketing, pricing and appraisal, tourism and digitalization of the cultural and creative industry. The teaching in cultural elements integrates the foundation required for art and humanity, the creative aspect in craftsmanship, design and architectural applications, and the industry perspectives in operation, marketing and management. The purpose is to construct an inter-disciplinary, multi-domain learning platform. The department also promotes exchange with international academics and cooperation with the industry. It is hoped that academic seminars help students to enhance their professionalism and open up their horizons, and internships allow students to practice what they have learned. The goal is to develop professional talents in the management of cultural and creative companies. Our department endeavors to instill fresh blood for the industry and develop a new growth engine for the economy in Taiwan.
